This project consisted of retrofitting 2820 lineal feet of existing concrete wharf to support larger container ships and increased container loads, with embankment strengthening to allow for greater dredging depth of the Berth. Additionally, the existing fender system was removed and upgraded. Mechanical systems were upgraded or replaced throughout.

This project consisted of partial replacement and structural rehabilitation of the existing 90 year old Piers that serve as the foundation for several commercial waterfront buildings. The project won numerous awards and received international recognition, becoming North America’s first suspension bridge of its kind to be built in 35 years, as well as the first suspension bridge to be built in the U.S. with concrete towers.
